The Cycle Horse Power TC-88 B engine cases are crafted in one of the leading foundries in the U.S.A. These cases are machined on state of the art C.N.C. machine centers. These cases are 8 pounds heavier than a Harley-Davidson™ case for added strength & will accept all stock Harley-Davidson™ components. Additional material has been added in key areas for strength, without requiring modifications for frame clearance.

These cases will fit in 2000-2006 Harley-Davidson™ standard Model B Softail™ frames . For model years 2000 - 2001 - 2002 you must use two [1 ON EACH SIDE] Harley-Davidson™ roller bearings #24604-00 on the crank shaft.

They have only one area of concern, which involves the cylinder head breather system. It seems that some motors pump oil out of the cylinder head breather passages into the air filter or whatever they are connected to. If your motor's breathers are routed to the air filter back plate, you could wind-up with a bit of oil running down your right leg after a long ride. This is not a new problem. They first saw it back in 1999 and there appears to be more than one reaon for it. These include combustion gases leaking past the piston rings, incorrect alignment of the oil pump, poor sealing of the oil system's O-rings, not enough volume of the scavenge side of the oil pump & inadequate oil separation in the breather valve. Not all of these items occur in every motor; in fact we would be surprised to find one motor with all of them. In the Mystfree design the first, or stock oil separation chamber, which is cast into the center of the rocker arm support, is augmented by a cylinder that protrudes into it from the bottom of the Mystree valve body. This cylinder has three openings spaced around its edge that cause the pressurized air- oil mist that is inside of the motor to change direction several times as it is pushed towards the exit in the breather valve. When the pressurized air passes through the six holes in the Mystfree valve, it hits the bottom of the neoprene valve cause it to rise up forming a second chamber. At this point any oil remaining in the air is removed by the aluminum valve seat and drains back through the lower chamber & into the rocker box.

You will often hear or read about bottom, mid-range & top end power. Most Harleys idle around 1,000 RPM & after releasing the clutch nobody ever finds themselves riding below 1,500 RPM. Hot rodded street Harleys stop making power at 6,000 RPM, so they have an operating range of 4,500 RPM. They can break this down to bottom being 1,500 to 3.000 RPM, mid-range being 3,000 to 4,500 RPM & top end being 4,500 to 6,000 RPM.

If you watch your tachometers while riding, you will have to agree that most street riding is done between 2,000 & 3,500 RPM with semi aggressive shifting done in the 4 to 5,000 RPM range. It is for these reasons that we prefer high torque to high horsepower. Torque is built in the low & mid-range, while horsepower is produced in the top end range. They prefer not to compromise torque for horsepower.

Decompression valves. This kit includes two valves. They are a little longer than most so there is more threads for a better grip & less chance of pulling one out from over-tightening. Other than that, they work just like all the others.

Their nickel based hard facing alloys are homogeneous materials containing complex microscopic bi- and tri-metallics. These weld overlays greatly enhance the erosion & abrasion resistance of our hard welded parts. In addition, they offer very high thermal fatigue resistance.
During their welding process a metallurgical bond is achieved with the substrate. The overlay’s natural lubricity & their resistance to galling coupled with low RMS finishes mean less wear on both heir cams and your mating surfaces.
