With 14 different classes ranging from the 220 mph Top Fuel class to the highly competitive E.T. class, competitors had a wide range of choices of what class or classes to race in. In 2006 AHDRA will add an additional class titled V-Rod Destroyer. The VRXSE Screamin' Eagle® V-Rod® DestroyerTM is H-D's first out-of-the-box, drag racing motorcycle. Based on the VRSCTM family and tuned by Custom Vehicle Operations, this bike can do a quarter mile run in under 10 seconds.
What started out as a club racing organization in the late seventies, with 50-60 competitors & virtually no spectators in the stands, AHDRA has grown into a national organization that hosts 250-350 competitors and between 7,500-10,000 spectators per event.

For starters, they have bumped up the size of the major frame rails to 1-3/8". All the aluminum plate work is 7075-T6. A front mounted polyethelyne fuel cell frees up the rear of the bike for fuel & clutch management systems & other components. The rear wheel is now removable as an assembly, no more trying to line everything up & stab an axle through it all. He starting with Triumph parts because he knew about the system & at the time no one else was making them. The products expanded to Harley-Davidson & then incorporated the European machines. Before too long he started making exhaust for the Japanese bikes too.
A 15,000 sq ft building in Grass Valley, designed by Denis, is currently occupied by the company & is still continuing to develop better exhaust pipes for a wide range of different motorcycles, and an additional expansion into a second premises has occurred to assist the growth of the company & development into additional motorcycle, and now ATV products. In April of 2005 BUB once again expanded by opening another manufacturing facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. BUB currently offers exhaust products for a wide range of Harley-Davidsons, heavyweight Japanese Cruisers and Sportbikes, European motorcycles and Sport and Utility ATV’s.

Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club started in 1936, with an official American Motorcycle Association (AMA) charter in 1937. AMA began promoting their racing events; which started the rally in Sturgis on August 14, 1938. That weekend celebration in 1938 had a lineup of only nine racers & a small audience watching the races.
The short track at the Jackpine Gypsies club grounds was first used in 1963. Since that debut race, many improvements have been made. The racetrack is now wider, it has permanent seating, the lighting system has been improved, there is an announcer, a sign up building & a clubhouse, where the concession business is located. The club holds races every other weekend & a full week of races during the rally. A motocross track was added on in the 1980's & then in 1996 a new track was built. The sport of motocross is beginning to grow again, in fact, in 1998; they held five motocross races, which attracted over 500 racers.
During the Sturgis Rally, we hold 12 events, including: motocross racing, a 1/2 mile race, hill climbs, road tours and short track racing. We had over 6000 spectators & hundreds of racers during the week of the Rally.

Racing began in 1987 with Les Edmonds competing on the track he had the vision to build, he came in second in points after the seven month season was finished. According to Les Edmonds the name of the track is pronounced (iN-clap-cappum). This name is the native name for the Thompson nation that extends from Cache Creek south to just north of Seattle. The track is situated on the site of the Ashcroft/Cache Creek Aero Club's old air strip.—Get their location

The Drag Bike class features street machines as well as those bikes and Drag Sleds built just for the 1/4 mile. This is a dial-your-own class run on either a 5-tenths full tree or 4-tenths pro tree.

AASEN DRAGRACING—(Norway)—webmaster@aasenracing.com—Main event update 2006. They started the bike for the first time only a week before the main event & they were very excited with the upgrade on the bike for the 2006 season. in the first qualification round the bike ran a 6,98 & the team was happy for it until they checked the engine! almost everything was melted inside the pistons, valves etc. OK!! it was to lean!! They added some more fuel & tried again, but they overpowered the track and went up in smoke a couple of times.!! More adjustments on clutch & ignition was done before the eliminations Monday. Finally they got the answer & did a 6,81 but it was lazy from 1000 feet and out! Bad luck again a fuel line from the pump was loose and lost over 100 psi pressure in the top end. Well, they won the round & double checked everything and decided to try to repeat, and YES 6,.67 a new personal best & it was still running lean on the top end!! They went up against Charley Karling in the finals. The finals started great with better raction time, they were in the lead, but bad luck again the battery went dead and shut the ignition off!! Ok, they were happy with the weekend anyway with a good baseline for the next events.
BAD APPLE RACING—(PA.)—tkile1@verizon.net—Top Fuel Nitro Harley Pilot: Tracy Kile / Hatfield, PA Crew Chief : Stan Sawyer Owner: Dave Lutz Best ET: 6.27 (Rockingham, NC 10/14/06) Best MPH: 217.91 (Rockingham, NC 10/14/06) Status: 5th in the Nation at the end if the 2005 AHDRA Season. 2004 Hannum’s Screaming Eagle Race Series Champion! NEWS!!! The Bad Apple Race Team traveled the long distance to compete at the  JIMS Las Vegas Nationals, the season finale to another spectacular season with the AHDRA. Weather conditions for the weekend were abnormally cold and breezy for the strip.  The action on and off the track was exciting all weekend. The Discovery Channel was on hand to record a Biker Build off episode for there hit TV series. During first round action of qualifying the team  posted a 6.50 pass putting them safely in the top half of the field. Second round temperatures cooled of quickly but the team was able to continue the performance from the first round and ran a 6.55 pass. With second round action completed and the team still safely in the top half of the field the team decided to try and step up there performance numbers for the final round . During third round qualifying the team posted and impressive 6.43 pass placing them in the number two spot for race day. Unfortunately during that pass the tire started to chunk, which meant a new tire would have to be used for race day. Elimination day turned out to be a very disappointing end to a great season with a first round loss. The bike at the launch pulled hard to the centerline and Tracy had to chop the throttle to avoid crossing the centerline. When in Vegas you never know when your luck is going to run out. Out of the competition the  team decided to enter the Outlaw ranks and posted an impressive 6.47  and a 6.52 pass.   Overall it has been a great season with the team improving on there performance & consistency all year. Tracy ran his personnel best pass of a 6.275 at 217 MPH this season. Tracy is now the 19th quickest man on a dragbike in the world and the 5th quickest on a Nitro Harley.  The team finished the season in the 6th position nationally. The 2007 season is sure to be exciting.      Tracy and the Bad Apple Race Team would like to Thank all their sponsors for their support in 2006. A very big THANK YOU! Next up: The off season! First Harley street bikes, then Modified & now Nitro Harley. 2003 was their first year in competition with the Nitro bike & it was a real success. They set goals for 6 seconds & 200 mph. They were the first Canadian team in Pro Fuel to run a 6 second pass at a CMDRA event. Also the first Pro Fuel Team to run over 200 mph at a CMDRA event. And the first Team in Pro Fuel to run 6 seconds & 200 mph at a CMDRA event. They have a great bunch of guy's on their Team. Unfortunately the season came down to the final race for the Mission, BC win & the Pro Fuel Championship. They broke their belt at the start line, ending the chances for the win. They ended up in second place for the Season.

In April of 2005 BUB once again expanded by opening another manufacturing facility in Janesville, Wisconsin. McBride has left his mark on the sport. He was the first rider to run under the 6.50 second elapsed time barrier, setting the record of 6.49-seconds in 1991 - a mark which could not be broken for three years. He also garnered the 1991 AMA/Prostar Top Fuel Championship.
The McBride brothers operate Cycle Specialists in Newport News, Virginia, a performance motorcycle shop. In addition to Harley-Davidsons & import "hop ups", they specialize in preparing Yamaha FJ-1200 engines for the legends race car series.
McBride received the "Spiderman" moniker in 1980 at the NHRA U.S. Nationals when an announcer commented on his trademark riding style of "crawling" around on the bike to keep it in the groove.

In 1981 Arlie went to Milwaukee to become a factory trained Harley mechanic.
In 1983 a great opportunity came along for Arlie to go to Arizona and teach at the famed Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.
In December of 1993 the Becker's took possession of Motorcycle Goodies. Got the good with the bad but decided to make a go of it and see what might happen.
Business blossomed. The shop was busy building custom bikes and the Becker's went racing.
In December of 1997, Northcoast Thunderbikes moved to its new location at 2715 Hewitt Avenue in Everett, just east of downtown, and located just off the Pacific Avenue Exit from Interstate 5. The new building has held many businesses in its lifetime, from one of the first grocery stores in the neighborhood to a restaurant and now a motorcycle shop.
Thunderbikes has two full-time HD mechanics on duty, Tuesday thru Friday, 9:30 to 6:00 pm. Saturday is "first come, first served" & scheduling time will vary depending on the available time and work-load.
